Born into a family of artists, Valentine Herrenschmidt trained at the Haute Ecole de Joaillerie (School of Higher Education for Jewellers) in Paris while working as an actress. Words very quickly pervaded her creations, and she discovered her vocation as a sculptor calligrapher.

 

Words from all over the world become visible beneath her fingersthrough iron or copper wire which she sculpts freehand. 

Floating in space and on walls, they adopt a characteristic curved, cursive handwriting, a genuine signature of the artist.

 

Valentine Herrenschmidt has increased her number of projects thanks to a wide network of international purchasing advisors

(including architects, decorators and galleries) for whom she creates words scenographies on commission.

 

Her poetic artworks touch those seeking unique and different pieces: collectors, cultural institutions, businesses, international

department stores, hotels and the big names in the luxury industrys.

 

Created by hand in her workshop, each sculpture is signed, numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
